We have an important update regarding how we manage our events moving forward.
What is happening?
We are discontinuing the use of meetup.com for organizing Turing Circle events.
Will there still be monthly events as usual?
Absolutely! We are committed to continuing our regular social events without
any interruptions.
Why are we making this change?
Meetup.com charges group organisers to list events and manage attendees, and its fees have increased steeply over the past few years, becoming unsustainable for a social group like ours.
How will I find out about upcoming events and RSVP?
The best way to hear about upcoming events is to subscribe to our monthly newsletter.

When will this change take place?
We are already making changes behind the scenes. The last event to be wholly organised on meetup.com will be Archibald exhibition and drinks.
After that, all our events after that will be listed on our website's Events Page, starting with our July Social. If you wish to come to any of these events, please use the RSVP button and fill out the linked Google Form.
While our meetup.com account is still active, we will continue to list events there. However, you will need to use the RSVP link in the event description to register your attendance.
Will I need to do anything to my meetup.com account?
There is nothing you need to do as the changes are automatic. You can still continue to use meetup.com for other meetup groups you are a member of.
NOTE: You may be contacted by meetup.com asking you to "take over as organiser" of
the Turing Circle group after we deactivate our account. Please disregard these
messages as we will no longer be using meetup.com.
We recommend joining our Whatsapp Community for real-time event notifications, reminders about upcoming events, and to connect with other members.
What will happen to the Turing Circle meetup.com group?
Our account will be deactivated in late July or early August of 2024. After this time, our meetup group will be permanently removed.
If you'd like to save any photos or details about previous events, we recommend you do so now as they will no longer be accessible after the transition. We will attempt to archive old event photos and records before our account is closed.
